Habilitation programs have continued to grow over the past several years, with plans for further expansion in the works. Currently, the greatest need is coverage for outpatient clinics and spasticity management. Education, outpatient, and advocacy opportunities abound.

- Inpatient service with the Hospitalist primary team.
- Strong rehabilitation resident presence at Arkansas Children’s Hospital: Each resident completes one three-month block of outpatient Peds-PM&R and inpatient Peds-PM&R.
- Populations served: CP, TBI, SCI, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Neuromuscular Disorders, Developmental Delay, Pain Disorders and Somatic Conditions, Burn, Amputation/Limb Deformity, Complex Care, Polytrauma.
Clinical catchment includes Arkansas and includes outreach opportunities with regional clinics and telemedicine. Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the sole academic pediatric medical center in the state, with several satellites throughout the state.

Practice Is Based at Arkansas Children’s Hospital
The Arkansas Children’s system includes two hospitals, a statewide care network of clinics and outreach programs, a research institute and a foundation. Arkansas Children’s is the only pediatric health system in the state of Arkansas, providing coverage to the state’s children from birth to age 21. The hospital staff consists of more than 500 faculty, 200 residents and 4,400 support staff.
