Dr. Gonzalez-Garcia obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in her home country of Venezuela. She completed her Pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2018 and her medical genetics training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, two years later.
She continued her studies with a medical biochemical fellowship at the same institution, graduating from Emory University in 2021. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and The American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Dr. Gonzalez Garcia is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. She joined Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2021. She evaluates and treats patients in the general genetics and metabolic clinics as well as inpatient consultations. She also participates in the multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies and Hearing Loss clinics. Her primary interests are pediatric genetic disorders, inborn errors of metabolism and vascular anomalies.
