Home Town: Fordyce, AR
When I study medicine, I most enjoy learning about:
I like the problem-solving aspect of medicine. Learning how to interview and examine patients to put the puzzle together and figure out what’s going on and what we can do to help.
Things that make me unique are:
I have a day named after me in my hometown. I am a Christ-follower and have a passion for missions having been out of the country 5 times to 4 different countries across Asia and Central America.
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to:
Spend time outdoors hiking, fishing, playing with my husky (Luna), and whatever else. I love sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks (woo pig). I grew up playing baseball, football, and tennis so those are probably my favorites. I enjoy traveling, hanging out at coffee shops, going to the movies and concerts, watching the Hogs, and relaxing at home streaming shows.
To get myself motivated I think of:
My Faith, Family, and Friends
Favorites
Books: The Bible, Harry Potter, anything by CS Lewis

Music: Everything! Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots, Hozier, Florence + The Machine, Johnnyswim, and H.E.R.
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…:
Arkansas is home and Arkansas Children’s Hospital is an incredible place where I know I’ll get great training. I love this state and have dreamed of working at ACH, providing the kids and families here with the best care possible. The people I met during medical school here and through the interview process are awesome, and it felt like one big family. I also look forward to teaching and mentoring medical students to train future Arkansas physicians!
