Deanna is from Springfield, MO and became interested in genetic counseling as a teenager. She attended Bob Jones University in SC and graduated with a BS in Cell Biology with a Chemistry minor in 2017. She also holds a MA in Biblical Counseling from the same school. She graduated with her MS in Genetic Counseling from Indiana State University in 2021 and joined the ACH Pediatric Genetics team that year. She is involved in the general genetics clinic as well as multidisciplinary clinics, including the Metabolic Bone and Skeletal Dysplasia Clinic, Neurofibromatosis Clinic, and others. She enjoys supervising future genetic counselors in the UAMS genetic counseling training program. In her free time, she enjoys singing, baking, spending time with friends, and playing with her cat.
