Home Town: San Antonio, Tx
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: Microbiology and pathophysiology
Things that make me unique are: I was in the marching band for 4 year and played the trumpet. I also enjoy scuba diving and got certified while in medical school in the Caribbean 🙂
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: cook, hike, float down the river, and scuba dive
To get myself motivated I think of: My family and friends who have supported me throughout my whole career.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: Various cookbooks. I enjoy browsing through cookbooks to get new ideas and find new recipes to try
With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: Anything but a horror movie.
Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): New episodes of Chef’s Table, The Crown, The Witcher, and any time my San Antonio Spurs are playing
On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: A wide range of music from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s pop, R&B, Country, Rock, and Rap. Pretty much anything depending on my mood.
When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: The various hiking trails in the area as well as make a trip to Hot Springs. It would also be fun to try to go mining for quartz in one of the nearby mines as well as see the beautiful Thorncrown Capel.
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: Because I was so impressed by the residents and faculty during their morning report. I was so refreshing to see all the residents and faculty so engaged and it seemed to reflect how important teaching is to the faculty. Not to mention Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the prettiest hospital I have ever seen and everyone there was so friendly.
