Home Town: Little Rock, AR
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: Honestly, anything dealing with Pediatrics! But to be more specific, I really enjoy learning about Infectious Disease, Neonatology, and diagnosing!
Things that make me unique are: I do not like coffee… I know, crazy! I have been both a patient and physician at Arkansas Children’s Hospital! Also, I do not like to read E-books because I still prefer the feel of a real book, plus I like the way all the books look on a shelf!
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: Run, bike, swim, play golf, and rock climb! I also really enjoy reading, pretty much anything, whether it be non-fiction or fiction! Also, if the Razorbacks are playing basketball, football, or competing in Cross Country/Track and Field (my sports in high school) or if the US men’s or women’s national teams are playing soccer, you can find me following along or in front of TV (even if I must watch it recorded)! (To be honest, I follow along at least with most Razorback sports, I am just a big sports person!) My wife and I also love to watch TV and movies! In fact, when March Madness got cancelled in 2020 (one of my favorite events of the year, I run a bracket pool every year and pretty much watch every game), my wife tried to make me feel better by turning it into a Movie game, so we make brackets of 64 movies and watch them all, then debate until we have a final winner!
To get myself motivated I think of: My wife/family and friends!

I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: I grew up in Little Rock! This is the community that raised me, and I want to give back to it! Plus, my wife and I will soon have our first child, and both of our families are in Arkansas! I think our parents would have been very upset if we took their first grandchild too far away!
