Home Town: Thibodaux, LA
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: Preventative medicine, patient education, and techniques for improving the transition of care from pediatrics to adult medicine.
Things that make me unique are: I have a black lab doggo named Gator.
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: I like traveling to new places, cooking, hiking whenever I get the chance, and weight-lifting.
To get myself motivated I think of: How far I’ve come already and the satisfaction of finishing a task. Also coffee, lots of coffee.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: The Wheel of Time series, A Song of Ice and Fire (will we ever get the next book?!), pretty much anything fiction or historical fiction. You can typically find me reading more than one book at a time.
With popcorn in hand, the movie I’m watching is: The Princess Bride
Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): The latest craze on Netflix or HBO, Scrubs, The Good Place.
On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: Podcasts (Radiolab, The Daily, Freakonomics, etc.) and random spotify playlists.
When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: Hike Pinnacle Mountain or Rattlesnake Ridge and then get food at Cathead’s Diner, kBird, Lost Forty, or Raduno’s.
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: I thoroughly enjoyed working with the residents and faculty during my away rotation at Arkansas Children’s Hospital!
