Home Town: Harrison, AR
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: Pathophysiology behind certain diseases or disorders.
Things that make me unique are: I am the first person in my family to become a doctor. I danced competitively in ballet, tap, and jazz till the age of 18.
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: Dominate in game nights, run, bake, and golf!
To get myself motivated I think of: My family, friends, and all the people who have prayed over my life and journey to get where I am. As well as the patients and their families who I will get the privilege to care for.
Favorites
Books: Mysteries or any book that makes me think, most recent read was the Midnight Library.
Movies: I watch a lot of Romantic Comedies but also love mystery/crime. Recently I have enjoyed Little Women and I am a new Star Wars Fan.
TV Show: The Bachelor/Bachelorette (its more the time with friends watching the show that I love), Great British Bake-off, and any Docuseries.
Music: Everything! I love the early 2000s divas to Broadway musical soundtracks.
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…:
When rotating at AR Children’s it felt like a natural fit. The residents, doctors, and staff were all welcoming and kept their focus on giving the best possible care to their patients. Being the only pediatric hospital in the state, the residents see various clinical presentations from higher yield to rare diagnosis and everything in between thus enhancing our training.
