Home Town: New Orleans, LA
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: the way the human body miraculously functions like a well-oiled machine. It’s fascinating to learn the physiology behind what goes on when the body functions properly as well as what happens when it doesn’t.
Things that make me unique are: I worked at Disney World as a lifeguard, I dance to music even if it’s only in my head, and I’ve never read/seen all of the Harry Potter books/movies.
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: be outdoors, watch LSU and Saints football, spend time with my family and friends, play board games, swim, and talk about/visit Walt Disney World.
To get myself motivated I think of: the family and friends that have given me the support to be where I am today. I will always be motivated to make those awesome people proud.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: a nonfiction, inspirational book. My favorite books are Mistaken Identify and Gifted Hands.
With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: a Romantic Comedy. I love Step Up, She’s the Man, Sweet Home Alabama, and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): The Ellen Show, This Is Us, The Office, Gilmore Girls, and Kathie Lee & Hoda on the Today Show.
On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: Country Music or upbeat/fun songs that I can dance and sing along to.
When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: the beautiful outdoor hikes and nature trails!
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: the people were unbelievably welcoming and friendly when I interviewed here. The residents were so approachable, the hospital was beautiful, and I loved all of the outdoor adventures that Little Rock had to offer.
