Home Town: Carrollton, Texas
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: critical care!
Things that make me unique are: all football-related. I used to referee Texas high school football games, I did the chains for a couple Baylor games, I coached an incredible med school powderpuff team to victory twice (go Bae’s Anatomy!).
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: explore! I’m a big fan of outside and love taking some time to find new places or new things about old places.
To get myself motivated I think of: making coffee. And then I put on some early 00s rap and crush my to-do list.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: a classic! The bigger the book, the better.
With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: most likely, The Princess Bride for the 784th time. Or a thriller with multiple explosions and/or big twists.
Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): Gilmore Girls.
On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: there’s a 50% chance it’s Texas country, a 30% chance it’s indie folk, and a 20% chance it’s Beyoncé. You never know.
When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: Pinnacle Mountain State Park and the Big Dam Bridge.
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: it feels like home! (Plus, there’s a basketball court on the roof.)
