Dr. Kimberly Macferran received her undergraduate degree at Southwestern University, with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and sociology. She received her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics residency and her fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at UAMS/Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Upon completion of her fellowship in 2011, she joined the section of Child Development at McLane Children’s Scott & White in Temple, TX and was an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. In 2013 Dr. Macferran moved back to her hometown of Midland, TX where she was in private practice with Premier Physicians/Midland Health and opened the first and only Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics clinic in the region. Dr. Macferran returned to UAMS in 2019 where she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Macferran’s clinical work is split between the James L. Dennis Developmental Center and the Complex Care Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
