Home Town: Little Rock, AR
When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: factors affecting Arkansans’ access to health, particularly for women and adolescents.
Things that make me unique are: I had three front teeth and six wisdom teeth…?
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: weight lift, read non-medical books, and cook vegan meals (cause they last forever in the freezer).
To get myself motivated I think of: all the people who came before me and managed to accomplish it.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: a non-gory, usually dated murder mystery with a strong female lead.
With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: Holiday in Handcuffs; all other movies are too much of a time commitment.
Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.
On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: whatever is catchy and likely belonging to the pop genre.
When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: Bossa Nova is the best restaurant in town, and the best part of living in LR is that we have access to so many gorgeous nature trails right in the heart of the capitol!
I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: we are competitive in what resources we can offer our patients, and as the major Children’s hospital in the state, we are providers for a wide variety of disease processes.
