Home Town: Prairieville, LA When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: I love learning about preventative medicine. I think prevention is one of the aspects that make pediatrics so unique. We focus on keeping kids healthy just as much as we focus on treating illness. Things that make me unique are: I am a proud alumni of Louisiana Tech University! I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: My husband and I are very in to home renovations. We completely remodeled our home in Shreveport, LA before listing it. I also love walking Marvin (my miniature goldendoodle) and spending time with family and friends. To get myself motivated I think of: I think of how blessed I am to have such supportive family and friends, and a God who has allowed me to get this far in my education and career. The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: I am not much of a book reader, but I love listening to murder mystery podcasts in the car. With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: Miss Congeniality (only the 1st one) or really any chick flick. Without a DVR on my cable box I’d miss (or I’m in front of the TV so I won’t miss): I would miss watching re-runs of Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and Gilmore Girls. On my iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, etc. I listen to: I enjoy listening to all types of music. When friends and family come visit me in Little Rock, I want to take them to: The Arkansas Riverwalk Trail I chose the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program because it’s wonderful and…: UAMS was unique because it offered a residency that felt like family in a world-class children’s hospital.
