R. Whit Hall, MD, is a professor for the Neonatology section of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Hall is currently researching the effects of maternal opioid use on the developing fetal brain, and the safety and effectiveness of opioid withdrawal in opiate exposed neonates. His research has taken him worldwide presenting his findings to other medical scientists, and has written many publications for neonatal journals, editorials, abstracts, and book chapters.
Dr. Hall has been awarded Mentor of the Year, Hawks-Workman Award for Mothers and Babies, Best Doctors in American by AY Magazine (2010, 2011, 2012), and the Asklepion Award (Lifetime Achievement Award) from the Arkansas Medical Society. He is involved with the Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, and the Parents and Friends of Children and Adults.
