During Mental Health Awareness Month, we were honored to see Dr. Mara Whiteside, PhD, ABPdN, NCSP featured on the news discussing the importance of children’s mental health and the role nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being play in healthy child development.
Dr. Whiteside shared valuable insight into helping children better understand emotions, healthy coping strategies for stress, and the importance of using trusted mental health resources. She also highlighted the ongoing research taking place at the Children’s Nutrition Center focused on maternal and child health and opportunities for families to get involved in research studies.
We are grateful for the opportunity to help connect families with meaningful resources, research opportunities, and conversations that support the health and well-being of children in our community.
