Overview
Schmieding Developmental Center has provided developmental care for children for over 32 years. It is named in honor of Lawrence H. Schmieding, a philanthropist and advocate for children and seniors in Northwest Arkansas. Lawrence Schmieding was known for his strong dedication to improving health care. The Schmieding Foundation was created by Lawrence and his brother, Hubert “Bert” Schmieding, and continues to support the Schmieding Developmental Center.
