Overview
For over 47 years, the Dennis Developmental Center has provided developmental care to children. Located in Little Rock, Ark, it is a UAMS facility located on the ACH campus and is supported by the Harvey and Bernice Jones Trust and the Harvey and Bernice Jones Chair.
The chair provides permanent financial support to advance medical research, education, and clinical care in developmental pediatrics and is a position held by a leading expert who oversees specialized clinical services and training for children with developmental and behavioral conditions
Learning opportunities are unique and abundant in multidisciplinary education and training, patient care, and research, including:
- Diagnostic assessments for behavioral developmental concerns
- Interdisciplinary team/collaborative approach to assessing and diagnosing children
- Multi-disciplinary staff – MDs, APNs, PhD, PsyD, LPE-I, LCSW, SLP
- Faculty to assist with training in clinical experience
- An interdisciplinary setting for clinical research
- A strong family collaboration through a Family Navigation program and Family Inclusion Advisory Board
