Arkansas Children’s and The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seek a full-time BC/BE Child Physiatrist to lead a new division within the Department of Pediatrics (DOP).
Opportunity Highlights:

- Create a new division within the DOP with clinical and research collaboration with critical care medicine, a Level I trauma program, high-volume neuroscience and orthopaedic program.
- Recruit faculty with niche clinical and research interests to offer services for a multi-state referral base.
- Expand the present physical footprint of both in-patient and out-patient services.
- Achieve CARF accreditation for the program
- Active involvement in educating medical students, residents and fellows with additional opportunities for leadership, educational outreach, and clinical research.
Program support includes:
- Three pediatric physiatrist physicians and one advance practice RN.
- A 12-bed in-patient unit with a gym
- Robust, nutritional support, Ph.D. pharmacologists, speech, physical and occupational therapies with access to two additional therapy gyms
- In-house pediatric hospitalists, critical care medicine and surgery support
- A neurosciences program with areas of focus in spasticity, traumatic brain injury and tumor recovery
- An orthopaedic program with areas of focus in sports medicine, limb length discrepancies and oncology
- On-site prosthetists
