Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) in Springdale, Arkansas, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physicians to join as a faculty member in a freestanding pediatric community hospital-based practice.

As part of our pediatric hematology/oncology team, you’ll provide compassionate, expert care to children with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions. You’ll be a vital partner to physicians, nurses, social workers and other specialists — working together to deliver personalized treatment and hope for every family we serve.
About Our Program:
- We provide comprehensive care for children across northwest Arkansas, as well as parts of northeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri
- Our team practices in a modern, fully equipped outpatient clinic staffed by nurses specializing in pediatric hematology and oncology
- Here, we see the full spectrum of conditions managed by pediatric hematology/oncology physicians
- Beginning in January 2026, our clinic will be integrated with a state-of-the-art outpatient infusion center, offering transfusion services, chemotherapy administration and sedation for procedures including lumbar punctures and bone marrow aspirations/biopsies
- Inpatient chemotherapy is delivered at our modern children’s hospital, which will expand to 40 beds in 2026. Patients benefit from 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage and nursing care provided by APHON-certified chemotherapy nurses
- Our physicians provide both in-person and telephone consultative services to the ACNW Emergency Department and inpatient hospitalist team
- We are actively engaged in national research initiatives through the Children’s Oncology Group, POETIC, NACHO, and industry-supported clinical trials
- We collaborate closely with teams at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock in the care of patients with bleeding disorders, vascular anomalies, sickle cell disease and neuro-oncology
- On-site specialty nursing support is available for all clinic-related activities, while research nursing support is dedicated to advancing our clinical trials and research initiatives
Qualifications
Passion for working with children and families navigating serious health challenges. Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, M.D. or equivalent degree, and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Arkansas.
