Ronald C. Sanders, Jr., M.D., has been named as the Department’s new Chief of Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Sanders has worked closely with Dr. Steinbach in developing new and innovative strategies and ideas for the section, including new dedicated roles in neurocritical care, surgical critical care, quality and research.
Dr. Sanders is taking over from the Executive Vice Chair of Pediatrics, Steve M. Schexnayder, M.D. Dr. Schexnayder served as Chief of Critical Care for 20 years. His leadership grew the department to its largest group of faculty and paved the way for many years of future success.
