Dr. Emily Beckett is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and is a board-certified Pediatrician and Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine (BFLM) Specialist in the Community Pediatrics Section at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She currently practices at the Arkansas Children’s Southwest Little Rock (SWLR) Community Clinic.
She earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and completed her residency in pediatrics at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s. Dr. Beckett became board certified in BFLM after completing the Lessons in Lactation Advanced Curriculum (LILAC) Fellowship Program in 2024.
Dr. Beckett is committed to caring for every child—especially those in underserved communities whose families are navigating systemic barriers. With a focus on improving health outcomes and nutrition for infants and their mothers from the very beginning, she advocates for comprehensive breastfeeding support for all infant-parent dyads across the state of Arkansas.
When she’s not at the SWLR Community Clinic, Dr. Beckett enjoys spending time hiking or being outdoors with her husband, two children and sweet pup, sharing a meal with friends or catching up on her shows.
