The UAMS/ACH Pediatric Residency Program hosted the first Resident Research Day on June 16, 2023, showcasing the research and quality improvement projects for the Class of 2023 graduates and celebrating resident, faculty and department awards. Dr. Eric Zwemer, Associate Professor of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, was the invited speaker.
Families of the graduating residents were on hand to celebrate their academic accomplishments, joined by the Pediatric and Medicine-Pediatric residents, faculty and staff. Nine departmental awards were conferred to graduates. In addition, residents, faculty and staff members received program awards for research, program support, and excellence in teaching. The Department of Nephrology was named the annual Resident Education Cup award for this past academic year.
