Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a pediatric psychologist to serve as an inpatient consult liaison. Successful candidates will join the state’s only pediatric health system and play a key role in shaping the future of children’s health in our region.
Program Information and Highlights
Join a dynamic team at Arkansas Children’s of psychologists providing nationally ranked and recognized care to patients statewide and regionally. Other highlights include:
- Our team of 17 provide clinical services to children and adolescents (birth to 21 years) in both outpatient and inpatient settings. We address a range of referral questions, including developmental, behavioral, mood and adjustment issues, with common referrals for autism, learning difficulties, neurocognitive functioning, somatic disorders, feeding disorders and trauma.
- Consultation and intervention to inpatients with a primary medical diagnosis who are admitted to services across Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Little Rock) and Arkansas Children’s Northwest (Springdale) hospital medicine and medical subspecialty teams including general pediatrics, GI, rehab, surgery and PICU.
- UAMS James L. Dennis Developmental Center (Little Rock) and UAMS Schmieding Developmental Center (Springdale), multidisciplinary clinics of psychologists, developmental behavioral pediatricians, APRNs, social workers and speech pathologists provide coordinated clinical services to children, adolescents and their families.

Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in clinical, school or counseling psychology from an APA or CPA-accredited institution.
- Completion of an APA or CPA-accredited internship.
