Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric nephrologist. Successful candidates will join the state’s only pediatric health system and play a key role in shaping the future of children’s health in our region.
Program Information and Highlights
Join a dynamic team at Arkansas Children’s of six faculty members, a dedicated renal dietitian, social work, psychologist, pharmacist, three transplant coordinators, research coordinator, child life specialist, nurse practitioner and nursing personnel in clinic and dialysis dedicated to nephrology, providing nationally ranked and recognized care to patients statewide and regionally. Other highlights include:
- Recognitions include being U.S. News & World Report ranked service line, joining the Improving Renal Outcomes Collaborative and the Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation
- The state’s only In-center outpatient pediatric hemodialysis unit with dedicated pediatric staff, and an active outpatient home peritoneal dialysis program
- We offer all modalities for kidney replacement therapy including neonatal CKRT
- Active ECMO program, which utilizes CKRT
- The state’s only accredited renal transplant program with dedicated renal transplant clinic
- Large outpatient clinical service available at all our locations, with more than 5,000 visits annually including specialty clinics in vasculitis, complex renal/bladder disorders, kidney stones, tuberous sclerosis, and dedicated hypertension clinic
- Robust 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor program with 600+ studies each year with dedicated ABPM-trained staff
- Primary and consultive inpatient services for patients at ACH, with telemedicine consultative services for patients at ACNW.
- Educational opportunities available in our academic missions including the training of our pediatric residents and medical students.
- Recently approved to develop a new fellowship training program for pediatric nephrology
- Active participation in collaborative clinical research efforts, including SCOPE, NAPRTCS, IROC, Worldwide exploration of Renal Replacement Outcomes Collaborative in Kidney Disease, Neonatal Kidney Collaborative and the PNRC

Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent degree and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Arkansas
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology
