Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Kelly A. Curran, MD, MA, FAAP is the Vice-Chair of Education for Medical Students and Residents, Section Chief of Adolescent Medicine, and associate professor of Pediatrics with a secondary appointment in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. She earned her earned her joint medical degree/masters in Bioethics at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. Subsequently, she completed her combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Wisconsin, followed by an adolescent medicine fellowship. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Adolescent Medicine. During her career, Dr. Curran has been highly involved in education and active in diverse scholarly activities. She is a frequent invited speaker on adolescent health topics. Dr. Curran is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM). Additionally, she currently serves as Deputy Editor of the AAP Adolescent Medicine PREP series and on the SAHM Eating Disorder Committee. Dr. Curran provides inpatient and outpatient consultative services in adolescent medicine and eating disorders at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include reproductive healthcare including sexually transmitted infection treatment, HIV prevention, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
